Issue

Working on a daily basis with ecu.test, I come across messages in the messages window, which I would like to look closer at in the log file. However, the log files (e.g. ecu.test_err.log and ecu.test_out.log) contain lots of entries which are confusing at first glance. Is there a way to highlight selected messages accordingly?

Solution

We configured a simple UDL for the free and open-source text and source code editor Notepad++. Please take note, that Notepad++ offers a portable version as well, so installation is not required at all.
