[Test configuration] Difference between implemented BUS ports
[Test configuration] Difference between implemented BUS ports
Issue
What is the difference between the different ports in the bus access settings in the test configuration?
Solution
Each of these ports provides a different function. It is possible to combine the different ports with different tools making the setting much more generic:
Active Node: Is used for reading signals and messages. Messages can be sent in an additive (not cyclical) manner.
Manipulation: For manipulating signals and messages in rest bus simulation.
Monitoring: If monitoring of messages is to be allowed (minimum and maximum cycle time, number of messages received, CRC check, ALV check etc.).
Service: Will be used for service-based communication (SOME/IP) if a <SERVICE> channel has been selected above.
