Issue

During the installation of ECU-TEST 7.x.x I am experiencing the following error message.

Solution

During installation process ECU-TEST 7.x.x tries to install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015.

This installation might be blocked by an existing installation of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017.

This behaviour is fixed for ECU-TEST 8 and more recent versions.

Please follow these steps to fix the issue:

Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017

Install ECU-TEST 7.x.x

If the installation was succesfull you can reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2017
